SS20: Reda Group presents the latest from its collections at Milano Unica
The 28th edition of Milano Unica was an opportunity for Reda Group to present all of its latest Spring Summer ’20 developments from the Reda 1865, Reda Active and Reda Flexo lines. The new Reda 1865 Spring Summer ’20 collection is a triumph of fabrics and textures that celebrate the concept of Téchne. SS’20 fabrics are characterized by a luminous and welcoming palette filled with luxurious, delicate and unsaturated hues that recall the elegance of marble found in Italian villas. From various shades of antique ivory and golden straw to azurite and eggshell, Reda 1865’s SS’20 fabrics feature a perfect balance between textures and nuances.
An absolute new entry for SS’20 is Active Phase from the Reda Active line that uses the innovative PCM (Phase Change Material) technology, able to interact with the body and surrounding environment to better maintain body temperature. Active Phase boasts elevated breathability, softness and delicacy as well as one-of-a-kind thermal performance. The fabric is also easy to clean, even in water. The PCM technology activates when there are changes in the body’s or surrounding environment’s temperatures, absorbing and releasing heat as necessary in order to avoid sudden variations.
Reda Flexo is the other new development within the Reda Group fabric offering. The line of smart stretch high-performance fabrics are able to adapt to a body’s movement, guaranteeing impeccable performance while fully respecting the environment. Reda Flexo is flexible, does not crease, is comfortable and resistant to water. Reda Flexo utilizes ROICA™ V550, a next-generation polymer designed by the Research and Design team of Asahi Kasei, representing a veritable revolution in terms of innovative sustainable technology. To present the collection, Reda Flexo enlisted the help of English illustrator David Sparshott to create a series of sketches entitled An Ordinary Day, bringing Reda Flexo’s characteristics to life. Milano Unica visitors were able to admire Sparshott’s unmistakable aesthetic within his charming yet realistic moodboards.
