In our journey of discovery of the textile art, we come to one of the most crucial steps in the whole process: twisting. The purpose of this process is to match together and twist yarns to obtain thicker and stronger ones. The choice of which yarns to match is what leads to obtaining the desired characteristics in each yarn in order to create fabrics for all needs.
Inside Reda's twisting department work 21 people, including machine operators and assistants, divided into 21 twisters. The experience and enthusiasm of these people enables Reda to have a productivity of more than 3,000 kg of twisted yarn per day.
The ultimate function of twisting is to combine yarns according to the desired type. You can combine identical garments with each other or opt for different ones; the result is an extremely strong and fully customizable yarn in terms of count, hand and coloration.
In conclusion, twisting represents a crucial step in Reda's production chain, where precision and craftsmanship meet technological innovation. This process, which imparts strength, elasticity and a unique texture to the yarns, is critical to ensuring the final quality of the fabrics. Understanding the importance of twisting means appreciating the intrinsic value of a textile product, the result of careful and meticulous craftmanship rooted in a millennia-old tradition, but constantly evolving to meet the needs of the modern market.
