Months ago, we welcomed two young interns, Abigail and Lily, inviting them to explore the heart of Reda’s production process, step by step. With curiosity, dedication, and a keen eye, they captured every moment, turning their experience into a story worth telling.

Now, as their journey comes to an end, we pause to reflect: not just on the path they’ve walked, but on the knowledge, inspiration, and growth that remain. Discover what this experience has meant to them, and to us.

A future-shaping experience

We have had an unforgettable experience at Reda and as it comes to an end, we’re able to reflect on how much we’ve learned and the incredible people we’ve met along the way. Over the past few months, we’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to explore every stage of Reda’s vertically integrated supply chain, from raw fibre to finished fabric, and witness firsthand the craftsmanship, innovation, and care that goes into every single step.

Having begun our journey at the Reda farms in New Zealand, and now ending our experience after 5 months in Italy, we feel so grateful to have gained in depth knowledge across each stage of production. Working our way through the combing mill, dyeing, spinning, twisting, warping, weaving, finishing, mending, design, sampling, integrated logistics, business development, sales, marketing, research & development and Reda subsidiaries Lanieri and Tailoor we are leaving with a comprehensive overview of the wool and the textile industry to take forward into our careers.

A testament of Reda’s uniqueness

Each department offered a unique perspective on Reda’s operations, yet what struck us most was the people and their passion for their work. Every department works with precision, pride, and purpose which was evident in the positive culture of the company.

This experience has been extremely rewarding and inspiring. We are so grateful to have been welcomed into Reda and to have the chance to see the full picture of what it means to take wool from sheep to shop.
