Behind every Reda fabric lies a story of tradition and passion, and there are individuals who, with dedication and enthusiasm, contribute every day to make the suits we wear special. But how much do we truly know about the process and the work hidden behind the threads of a fabric? We decided to dedicate an entire day to this discovery with Frank Gallucci, Scott and Brett Staniland, three figures in men's fashion who daily express their concept of elegance on social media, always with an eye on sustainability.

Our journey to uncover the birth of fabric began in Romagnano Sesia, where wool from Australia and New Zealand undergoes initial treatment and preparation for the actual fabric production. Our guests had the opportunity to see with their own eyes how the carefully selected raw material arrives at our facility to be transformed, step by step, organized, and collected into soft ribbons, better known as tops.

The journey continued to Valdilana, at Reda's production facility, where our guests had the opportunity to get a close look at the technological innovation that characterizes every one of our processes. Department by department, from the dyeing section to spinning, through warping and weaving, and under the guidance of Luca Bruschi, Sustainability Manager at Reda, visitors learned how each step is crucial and fundamental to the final result and how sustainability is at the heart of every one of our actions and activities.

A specific moment was then dedicated to a visit to the design department: here, Franco Martines, Reda 1865 & Flexo Product Director, and Massimiliano Pera Visun, Reda Active Product Director, shared with our guests what lies behind the creative process leading to the birth of new collections, illustrating the product lines that characterize Reda's offerings, in a perfect synthesis between respecting sartorial tradition and a continuous quest for performance perfection.

Our tour couldn't miss a visit to the Research and Development department: here, Daniele Zaramella, Product Development Innovation Manager, explained to Frank, Scott, and Brett what it means to be innovative at Reda and how this drive for continuous improvement is one of the driving factors in the development and research within this department.

The day continued with the exploration of another gem within the Italian excellence that characterizes the Biella area: the Castello di Montecavallo winery. Built by Filiberto Avogadro di Collobiano around 1830 on the remains of a fortified house owned by the family since the 1200s, the castle is now in the hands of the new generation, Tomaso and Martina Incisa della Rocchetta, who are pursuing the ambitious goal of turning it into one of the leading wineries in northern Piedmont. The grapes at Castello di Montecavallo are exclusively sourced from the vineyards on its hill, and the entire winemaking process takes place on-site. The soil is predominantly composed of sand from ancient seabeds with high acidity levels, contributing to the characteristic freshness and minerality of the wines.

Here, our guests, along with Ercole Botto Poala, CEO of Reda, enjoyed a wine tasting from the company, which focuses on producing three labels (ARALCADER, CA’ BIANCA, and INDERO), and savored some typical dishes from the tradition.

It was an intense and emotionally rich day, allowing our guests Frank, Scott, and Brett to discover the Made in Italy excellences and get a close look at what makes Reda fabrics a true blend of innovation, excellence, and tailoring tradition.
