The fabrics of the Spontaneous Story are inspired by the works of celebrated Dutch landscape artist Piet Oudolf, creator of the High Line in New York and universally known as the father of spontaneous gardens. Piet Oudolf owes his fame to the proverbial innovative aesthetic that he has always deftly combined with environmental protection and with his knowledge of plants: “A successful garden is a subtle balance between form and movement. It should seem natural and spontaneous, but never out of control.” The Spontaneous Story is inspired by Piet Oudolf’s way of thinking and the chromatic frameworks that characterize his projects. Fabrics come to life with spontaneous refinement, distinguished by an aesthetic that interprets the classic nature of Italian style and the vivaciousness of the English countryside: two spirits that join in a harmonious union and bring out lively and well-defined colors. Taking inspiration from the botanical cards of Piet Oudolf’s gardens, Spontaneous presents a new longing for color, proposing a series of hues that recall atmospheres typical of Fall blossoms: gold and copper shades of Gramineae, the somber red of Persicaria, violet tones of Lythrum virgatum and green of Betula nigra.
