In this regard, Reda has reached an important sustainability milestone related to its manufacturing process with two Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), published on the official website of the independent organization, EPD Australasia, which provides scientific environmental data on products and services offered within the geographical area of New Zealand and Australia.

An EPD is a protocol that certifies the type and quantity of impact generated by a company to produce a particular product based on that product’s Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), with which Reda examined its entire production process from sheep to finished fabric. Thanks to this certification, Reda is able to guarantee maximum transparency regarding the environmental impact of its products. It is, in fact, EPD Australasia that registers and publishes companies’ EPDs as with Climate Declarations, verified and registered documents that contain transparent, comparable data and other information related to the environmental impact of products during the entire life cycle. Reda solidifies its status as one of the main players in the field of sustainability thanks to the publication of two EPDs and to its constant efforts, presenting itself as a true reference point for all other companies that wish to measure the environmental impact of their own processes, contributing to the safeguarding of the environment.

In 2004, Reda obtained the EMAS certification, an eco-management scheme that envisions a continuous improvement of environmental performance that goes beyond legal requirements. Today, with the publication of these two EPDs, the historic mill continues down its ambitious path towards sustainability.
