Upcycle by Lanieri: a capsule collection crafted from Reda’s archive
Proving that values such as sustainability and circularity also stem from the conscious reuse of materials, Lanieri’s new Upcycle capsule collection features garments made with fabrics recovered from Reda’s historical archive, here repurposed through a careful process of upcycling.
The fabrics sourced from Reda’s archive have been carefully selected and subjected to thorough quality control to ensure maximum strength and durability. Throughout the upcycling process, the fabrics used to create the garments stand out for their outstanding quality and unique design. Sustainable, circular, and highly exclusive: all Upcycle garments are numbered, making them truly one-of-a-kind.
To celebrate the launch of the capsule collection, Lanieri will be partaking in Fuorisalone 2023 by setting up an exhibition in its Milanese space at Via Pietro Maroncelli 13. For the occasion, artist Alessandra Roveda will showcase a personal reinterpretation of the historic Singer sewing machine designed by architect Mollino for the Turin store, all via crochet work. The artist’s works use crochet as an expressive tool to give new life to forgotten objects and ancient traditions, embodied here by Singer’s early 20th century sewing machine.
Through the Upcycle capsule collection, Lanieri and Reda make a concrete contribution to reducing waste, promoting the concepts of sustainability and circularity through garments made with outstanding Made in Italy fabrics.
