Reda fabrics are the result of tireless activity fueled by passion, attention to detail, and a continuous pursuit of quality. The secret of our fabrics is primarily represented by the people who, with their daily experience, teamwork, and a common goal, make it possible to create products of the highest quality, a pure expression of the Made in Italy tradition.
All production departments are fundamental, and each adds a valuable and essential piece to the Reda fabric creation process. Today, we take you to explore the warping department: here we find Anna Berra, Quality Warping Manager, who has been with the company for over 29 years, telling us about her work and what her activity involves.
"My job involves programming the warping of the pieces, checking the necessary yarns for the arrangement, and monitoring their quality. If I were to explain my job to a child, I would say this: I prepare many threads together that will be used to make an elegant dress for you to wear to a grand ball with a beautiful princess," says Anna Berra. Her work is rich in satisfactions, not only from the perspective of the finished product but also in terms of the human aspect and interpersonal relationships: "The most satisfying aspect is being able to rely on a group of people who support you in every work moment," confirms Anna Berra.
The warping department's activity is full of rewards but also challenges to face and overcome together, requiring always considering the work of other departments. Coordination and collaboration are fundamental elements: "The daily challenge is to complete all warps in quality, respecting the timing dictated by weaving," says Anna Berra.
But what sets Reda's warping department apart from others? Anna has no doubts: "What certainly sets us apart from other companies is the optimization of timing and the fact that we always believe in any difficult choice that needs to be made."
For those who would like to pursue a similar job, Anna advises "not to lose heart at the first difficulty. This is because, while the daily part easiest to manage is related to the use of machines, the more complex and therefore important part concerns relationships with people."
Teamwork, sharing, and collaboration are therefore indispensable factors that guide the activity of such a valuable department as warping. A philosophy that fully embraces the values underlying Reda's history, as a Benefit Corporation, always placing people and their needs at the center of every process.
