Reda's strong connection with the land and its longstanding commitment to sustainability are the two core elements that guide the company's choices in the responsible manufacturing of the best Merino wool fabrics.

This is a commitment that is reflected in every aspect of the production process and that has allowed Reda to become a B Corp and later change its charter to become a Benefit Corporation, thus contributing to the development of a responsible, ethical and traceable wool supply chain in order to promote the development of a sustainable supply chain model aimed at protecting natural resources, biodiversity and soil vitality.

Since 2003, Reda has consistently invested in environmental protection with various initiatives, including the construction of a biological water purifier, which over the years has allowed to achieve important goals in terms of reducing impacts and decreasing water needs.

In fact, Reda manages to purify 100% of the wastewater produced at the Crocemosso plant and return it to nature. Thanks to the innovative wastewater treatment plant, the plant's discharges are well below the legal limits and also comply with the voluntary ZDHC protocol, which covers the elimination of toxic chemicals that are harmful to human health and the environment from the entire production cycle.

In 2022, 16% of the purified water was recovered within the Crocemosso plant and the remainder returned to the environment. Reda's commitment to the purification and reuse of water is just one of the many ways in which the company contributes to the preservation of the ecosystem, as well as an essential and fundamental piece of a sustainability path aimed at creating value for the territory and future generations.
