The Atmospheres Story is inspired by French painter Claude Monet’s celebrated Water Lilies series in which colors seem to be present and elusive at the same time in an endless play of light and movement. An exceptional artist and expert gardener, Monet was always fascinated by the relationship between light and shadow, the reflections of water, nature and his flowers, so much so as to try and capture their essence on a canvas. The colors and plays of light depicted by Monet are presented in the fabrics of the Atmospheres Story in which suits and jackets express the harmonic balance between the simultaneous overflow and discreet abundance of colors. Colors feature fleeting reflections of gray shadows and appear as whispers; imperceptibly delicate touches that are expressed perfectly on mixed and meticulous backgrounds. Inspired by Monet’s Water Lilies, the colors of this Story represent an escape from gray while intentionally mixed tones offer the idea of color. Lead hues, typical of the sky and water, combine and bring out precious brush strokes of green, mauve and lapis lazuli. The fabrics of this Story are characterized by indefinite, shaded, indescribable and spacious colors.
