"My profession involves the creation of high-quality orthogonal fabrics. This product represents the intersection of the art of craftsmanship and the imagination of those who design it, satisfying customer demands. I could liken my work to a soccer team: the team, by intertwining warp and weft threads, can only produce an excellent product if united by passion, as team cohesion plays a fundamental role in overcoming challenges and winning," explains Alessandro Valerio.

Just like in other departments of the company, working in the weaving department brings satisfaction but also challenges and trials: "The most satisfying aspect is the recognition from our customers, being cited as an example to follow in the quality and uniqueness of the textile product we create, as well as in environmental sustainability and initiatives ensuring the well-being of the workforce. Personally, being a cog in this mechanism is very gratifying." And what is the most challenging part of this job? Alessandro Valerio has no doubts: "The most challenging aspect of my work is involving the workforce in sharing and achieving the best qualitative and productive result."

Crucial, especially in this field, is the quality of the raw material, which is scrupulously monitored and traced at every stage in Reda: "The quality of raw materials, complete control of the production chain, combined with the specific skills of individuals in each department and office, are fundamental elements for achieving an excellent final result," confirms Alessandro Valerio.

Passion and dedication are the elements that characterize the work in weaving, and from Alessandro Valerio's words, all the enthusiasm that has guided him over the years in carrying out this activity shines through: "During my journey, there have been many curiosities that have led to an 'Industrial Revolution.' In particular, the evolution of looms from the '80s to today has struck me: we have gone from inserting the weft with projectile looms to gripper looms and finally to air looms; consequently, we have gone from a speed of 200 shots per minute to reaching 900 shots per minute, drastically revolutionizing the approach to work. 'Change is inevitable' has not only become the cornerstone of our company but is a tangible concept in every transformation and evolution that the company itself carries forward. In fact, the deliberate and accurate use of technology has allowed us to evolve, meeting the ever-increasing demands of the market, without ever losing our identity and tradition, distinguishing us from all our competitors," recounts Alessandro Valerio.
