Reda Flexo
Reda presents Reda Flexo
Reda introduces Reda Flexo, a line of stretch fabrics designed to provide elasticity and comfort. The material used includes ROICA™ V550, an elastomer developed by Asahi Kasei that retains the typical functional properties of stretch fibers while introducing documented features supporting end-of-life management.
ROICA™ V550 is an elastomer capable of partial degradation under controlled conditions in accordance with ISO 14855-1, as tested by Organic Waste Systems (OWS). Under these conditions, the material decomposes into CO₂ and water without generating hazardous residues.
The fiber has also achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified® – Material Health Gold Level, which confirms the assessment of its chemical inputs according to the Material Health v4.0 protocol.
According to evaluations by Hohenstein cited in the technical press, ROICA™ V550 is capable of degrading at end of life without releasing harmful substances into the environment, confirming the environmental compatibility of its decomposition.
Reda Flexo uses this fiber to create stretch fabrics that follow the body’s movements while maintaining stability and comfort during wear. The presence of ROICA™ V550 does not alter textile processability and allows the fiber to be integrated into blends traditionally used in the fashion sector, as also confirmed by existing industrial applications.
